Chuck & Fran Phelps

ON STAFF SINCE 1970

Staff evangelist, Chuck Phelps, was saved at the age of 34 in LeRoy, Minnesota. He and wife Fran enjoy working around the house and although their children are all grown, they look forward to the holidays when they are able to get together with them. Daughter Kathy and husband Ken are also staff members with Open Air Campaigners.

Chuck studied at the Prairie Bible College in Canada from 1966 to 1969. It was there that he was introduced to Open Air Campaigners. He joined OAC Minneapolis in 1970 and through the years, has been involved in front-line evangelism in the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul region and beyond. Chuck has served many years as the Director of that branch.

For 13 years, Chuck and Fran were able to regularly visit the Pahokee, Florida area to minister in the housing projects during the winter time. Chuck and Fran specialize in holding children’s open-air crusades, speaking local church gatherings and ministering at nursing homes.
