Mark & Angela KennedyON STAFF SINCE 2004
I grew up in East Texas. In 1985 I moved to Idaho to become a Hunting Guide and ended up guiding Whitewater Rafting trips as well. I was blessed by God to be raised in a Christian home providing a Christian background. But it wasn’t until 2000 that I truly submitted to the Lord and subsequently entered full time ministry. Angela and I were married in 1996 and attended Church yet lived as the world the rest of the week. I watched as the Holy Spirit began working in Angela’s heart and she began reading her Bible and soon the Spirit convicted me to do the same. I had broken enough promises to God over the years so I simply prayed, “Lord, please put it on my mind to read Your Word when I wake.” From that day forth, God has been faithful to remind me each and every morning to read His Word. I began reading in Matthew, some mornings only a few verses and other mornings a few chapters. It was at Revelation 3:15 & 16 that I had to face what my life had become in the eyes of God; neither hot nor cold and that I deserved to be “spewed from Jesus’ mouth.” I saw my sin for what it was, an offense to a Holy and Righteous God. Right there and then I repented and put my trust in Christ (Acts 20:21). “Godly sorrow worketh repentance.” I have become a new creature (II Corinthians 5:17) in Christ, Having put my hand to the plow (Luke 9:62) I don’t look back. God’s commandments are not grievous. (I John 5:3) I hunger for His Word and try to respond quickly to sin in repentance. Christ and my relationship with Him are precious to me. God blessed me with a wonderful family, my wife Angela, and children, Dirk, 17 and Bailey 10. We have been on staff with Open Air Campaigners since 2004, and as a full time evangelist and missionaries to Baltimore, Maryland since 2005. God has opened new and unexpected doors. Beginning in the spring of 2008 I will become the Director of the ALACCA Bible Camp in North Central Idaho. We will continue with Open Air Campaigners doing evangelist outreach through the camp, in the local communities and on college campuses. Bailey and I will spend most of the summer in Idaho at the camp with the entire family moving later in 2009 after Dirk has graduated from High School. I like to hunt, fish and go whitewater rafting. Angela has worked for the last 25 years with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Angela is busy between work, family life, ministry and Bible College classes. In her free time she enjoys reading and is trying to revive her long dormant piano playing talents. Dirk, a junior in high school, is taking Advanced Placement classes, plays the violin, performs in the school orchestra and dramatic productions and is a Celtic dancer. Bailey excels at 5th grade, loves to read, enjoys her rabbit, is learning sign language, is finally getting to start piano lessons and will be taking Hunter Safety class this spring. Ministry Vision Our hearts desire is to be on an unending mission for God to play our part in fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19) and the perfecting of the saints (Ephesians 4: 11 & 12) for the work of the ministry for the edifying of the Body of Christ.
